I think it’s important to warn you before you begin viewing these images that you may be over come by all of the cute. This family was a dream to work with and was my second family session while in Austin, during my visit to Texas, back in May.

The Tong family volunteered for me to photograph them while I was mentoring a fellow photographer on how to do sunset sessions. I’m so thankful they saw the model callout on Facebook because they were the sweetest, most gracious family. They were seriously dreamy.

Just like their session…

First, here are two images of my mentoring student working behind the camera. Isn’t she cute?

See? I told you she was cute!

And here’s even MORE cuteness for you. (I swear I spoil you guys sometimes.)

Okay, so this session did not take place in Northwest Indiana. This beautiful session was my first of four sessions on my trip to Austin, Texas in May.

I met Lisa “virtually” many, many years ago. We met in real life in Chicago a fear years ago, I’ve essentially watched her family grow from  many miles away. I was so excited to photograph this beautiful family. Lisa emailed me with concerns that her family may be too crazy for me, but I reassured her … “don’t worry, Lisa. I got this!” Needless to say, her children and I “clicked” instantly and I’m excited to share one of my prettiest sessions with you right now!

P.S. I loved Austin, it was beautiful and interesting and also, I loved Torchy’s Tacos and haven’t stopped thinking about their queso since I left. Amen.

Last month we celebrated Layne turning one! I’ve been so lucky to be able to photograph Layne every three months since she was born as part of my birth-to-first year plan. She’s so incredibly beautiful and her parents are adorable, too. Here’s her cake smash session – she did SO well!

Cake smash details: 30 minutes, 20 images, $300, props and cake are included in the price. Cake smash sessions can take place in my natural light studio in downtown Valparaiso or can do be done outdoors at sunset. Email me to book your session!
